Cefotaxime sodium is a commonly used carbapenem antibiotic, belongs to the third generation of semi-synthetic cephalosporins, antibacterial spectrum than cefuroxime, stronger effect on gram-negative bacteria, antibacterial spectrum including Haemophilus influenzae, Escherichia coli, Escherichia coli, Salmonella klebsiella gas-producing bacillus spp. and strange deformed bacillus, Neisseria spp. Enterobacteriaceae, etc. Cefotaxime sodium has no antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and alkali-producing bacteria, poor antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, strong activity against Gram-positive cocci such as Streptococcus haemolyticus and Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Enterococcus spp. (Enterobacter yingii, Enterobacter aerogenes) are resistant to this product.

1. Cefotaxime Sodium is a broad spectrum third generation cephalosporin antibiotic. The name Cefotaxime applies to the isomer having a syn-methoxy imino group
2. Cefotaxime sodium salt acts as a beta-lactamase resistant antibiotic. It is used as an effective antibacterial against gram-negative bacteria, with the notable exception of pseudomonas and penicillin-resistant strains of streptococcus pneumoniae. It is used to treat infections of the bones, joints, skin, respiratory tract and blood stream.
3. Cefotaxime sodium mainly used for the treatment of respiratory, urinary, intestinal and biliary tract, skin and soft tissue, burns and bone and joint infections caused by sensitive bacteria
4. Cefotaxime sodium is a third generation broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic with a strong bactericidal effect on both gram-negative and positive bacteria, especially on gram-negative bacteria, stable to β-lactamase and must be administered by injection.
