Inosine (English: Inosine), also known as hypoxanthine, hypoxanthine nucleoside, etc., is white needle-like crystals, odourless and slightly bitter in taste. It is a nucleoside compound formed by combining hypoxanthine with ribose. In the denovosynthesis of purines, IMP can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of AMP and GMP. The melting point is 218°C. 1.6g of product is dissolved in 100ml of water at 20°C.

Function and Application of Inosine CAS 58-63-9
1. Inosine has neuroprotective properties improving axonal wiring. Has been used to treat stroke patients to restore neural function.
2. Inosine as a medium supplement in nucleotide rescue experiments in pancreatic cancer cell lines.
3. Inosine as a component in holidic (synthetic) medium and in larval two-choice preference assay.
4. The main effect of Inosine Oral Solution is for the adjunctive treatment of acute and chronic hepatitis.
5. Inosine has high medicinal value and is used to treat liver diseases, heart diseases, leucopenia, anaemia, schistosomiasis, central optic neuritis, optic nerve atrophy, thrombocytopenia due to radiotherapy and trichothecene poisoning.
6. In the food industry, inosine is mainly used in the synthesis of food freshness enhancer 5'-sodium inosinate, which can be mixed with sodium guanylate and sodium glutamate in a certain ratio to make a compound freshness agent "I+G", whose freshness is increased by more than 200 times compared to traditional MSG. At present, the market demand for chicken essence, flavour enhancer disodium nucleotide (I+G), etc. is increasing at a rate of 15-20% per year.
