Sodium Fusidate, also known as fusidic acid sodium, clostridial acid sodium, is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic with steroidal skeleton, a kind of derivative of fusidic acid, white crystal or crystalline powder in appearance, odorless, bitter in taste, slightly hygroscopic, easily soluble in water, ethanol, slightly soluble in chloro form, insoluble in propyle ne copper, ether, benzene. It has strong tissue permeability, mainly metabolized in the liver, and excreted by bile, almost not through the kidney, low toxicity, bactericidal effect through the inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis, good antibacterial effect on gram-positive bacteria, with good resistance, while the strains resistant to penicillin, methicillin and other antibiotics are still sensitive to this product, no cross There is no cross-resistance between fusidic acid sodium and other antibacterial drugs in clinical use. It is a non-cephalosporin antibiotic, so skin allergy test is not required. It has been widely used clinically for the treatment of various infections caused by various sensitive bacteria, especially staphylococci, such as osteomyelitis, sepsis, endocarditis, recurrent infections of cystic fibrosis, bacterial endomyocarditis, pneumonia, meningitis, diphtheria, tuberculosis, skin and soft tissue infections, surgical and traumatic infections, etc. Intravenous administration is used for severe infections or infections with drug-resistant strains of bacteria, and also for MRSA infections. It is also used for MRSA infections. However, because it is prone to drug resistance, it is mostly used as an adjunctive agent. Oral treatment of pseudomembranous enteritis caused by Clostridium difficile has good effect.
