Virginiamycin has inhibitory effect on gram-positive bacteria and can prevent bacterial dysentery (such as pig red diarrhea, chicken necrotizing enteritis, etc.) with almost no drug resistance. In addition, it can promote the absorption and utilization of amino acid and phosphorus by livestock and poultry, and improve the feed conversion rate. It can be used in pig feed at a dosage of 10 (1020×104U)-20 (2040×104U) g/t; it can also be used in chicken feed at a dosage of 2-5g/t below 16 weeks of age, and is prohibited during the egg-laying period.
