Spiramycin is one of the macrolide antibiotics. It is produced by diphtherin production. The antibacterial spectrum is similar to that of erythromycin. Its in vitro antibacterial activity is weaker than that of erythromycin, but it is clinically more effective. Function and Application of Spiramycin CAS 8025-81-8

1. Spiramycin mainly used for the treatment of whooping cough, pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, otitis media, gonorrhea, gonorrheal urethritis and other conditions
2. Spiramycin can be used to treat infections of the ear, nose, throat and respiratory tract caused by gram-positive and certain gram-negative bacteria, such as acute bronchitis, acute attacks of acute bronchitis, pneumonia, scarlet fever, tonsillitis, otitis media, periodontitis and acute sinusitis. It can also be used to treat non-gonococcal urethritis. It has potent in vivo antimicrobial action and antimicrobial after-effect (PAE) that enhances phagocytosis and is widely distributed in the body. It has higher intracellular concentration in tissues than erythromycin, while the side effects are less than erythromycin.
