Ozagrel hydrochloride is an inhibitor of thromboxane TXA2 synthase, which inhibits the production of TXA2 and promotes the production of prostacyclin (PGI2) so that the imbalance between the two is improved. It has anti-platelet aggregation and dilation effects, inhibits cerebral vasospasm, increases blood flow to the brain and improves microcirculatory disorders and abnormal energy metabolism in the brain. Thus, it has an anti-platelet aggregation and vasodilating effect.
