Trelagliptin Succinate, developed by Takeda Japan and marketed in March 2015 under the trade name Zafatek, is used to treat type II diabetes. Treliptin is an ultra-long-acting dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-4) inhibitor that controls blood glucose levels through selective and sustained inhibition of DPP-4.
