Nicotinamide, also known as nicotinamide, is an amide compound of niacin. White crystalline powder; odorless or almost odorless, bitter in taste; slightly hygroscopic. The relative density is 1.4, and the melting point is 129-131 °C. 1g of this product is soluble in 1mL water, 1.5mL ethanol or 10mL glycerol, but insoluble in ether. The pH of a 10% aqueous solution is 6.5-7.5. It is relatively stable, resistant to acid, alkali and high temperature. It is stable to light and heat in dry air, and generates niacin when heated in alkaline or acidic solution.

Function
1. Niacinamide can interfere with the transport of melanin, restrict melanin in melanocytes, prevent melanocytes from continuing to produce melanin, and at the same time prevent melanin from being transmitted to the skin surface to darken the skin, thereby achieving a whitening effect.
2. Niacinamide has been proven to have a good anti-glycation effect, and the substance produced by skin glycation is brown, which will make the skin look dark. The anti-glycation of niacinamide helps to whiten the skin, thereby brightening the complexion.
