Beta-cyclodextrin is the 7-membered sugar ring molecular form of cyclodextrin. Cyclodextrin has various applications. 1. β-Cyclodextrin is a cyclic oligosaccharide produced from starch via enzymatic conversion. β-Cyclodextrin is commonly used to produce HPLC columns allowing chiral enantiomers separation.
2. The hydrophobic cavity structure of Β-CD can encapsulate volatile spices, mask and eliminate odours, improve the stability of natural colours and increase the solubility of insoluble substances. China's regulations can be used in soups at a maximum of 100g/kg; in baked goods at a maximum of 2.5g/kg.
3. β-Cyclodextrin Widely used in the field of Chinese medicine preparation, it can increase the solubility of the drug, improve the stability of the drug, powder the liquid drug, prevent volatile components from evaporating and reduce the irritation and toxicity of the drug.
